FAQ: Let's Talk about my Sim's 2 🌠ZODIAC🌠System
I use Lazy Duchess' RPC Launcher to start my games, which has a built in mod that disconnects the personality to the zodiacs. People with the same zodiac signs can have very different personalities IRL, so why not in the sim's as well? To have the Zodiac chemistry be similar to IRL, I use Dread Pirate's Zodiac Overhaul Tweaks . While the specifics of real-life zodiac chemistry are not an interest of mine, I do use this as a bit of realism. To further make Zodiac signs align like real life, I have calculated the seasons/days/times for each zodiac sign for my 16 day sim year. To do this for yourself you'll have to do a number of calculations: Each season has 3 zodiacs, but we need to figure out how that works with the condensed seasons of the sims games. 1. FAQ: Sims 2 Lifespan
I got asked this on my stream a couple times so I will share my aging and chemistry system. I play my sims according to the in-game seasons which I have also modified. I use the Shorter Seasons mod by EvelynnMama on Mod the Sims which changes each season to be 4 days long. This means that 1 sim year is 16 days. Using that number, I wanted each of my life stages to experience all four seasons at least once. 4 Day Pregnancy 1 4 Days Baby 2 12 Days Toddler 16 Days Children 3 16 Days Teens 4 8 Day University 5 80 Days Adult 6 48 Days Elder 7 I've got my adjusted Agecons file and Pregnancy mod available for Download Here. The Sims 2 is Broken
While undoubtedly one of the top simulation games of century, There are a few bugs that the developers never got time to fix. This Post is to more or less document base game or expansion pack features that were actually broken with official EA updates, and the fixes that can be applied by modders in the Sims community. Cyjon and Simler90 have made a ton of other fixes, but a lot of those could be considered a personal preference fix. Improve your Sim's Television Programming.
Recently I found Early Pleasantview's Exracted Sims 3 TV Shows . I had been wanting to find a way to improve specifically the children's TV programming because all they get is the sad social bunny show, a superhero show, and kicking over lawn ornaments. Reading through Tutorials, I found one on Mod the Sims from 11 years ago (2011). I will now tell you what I did to get MySims videos and other programming into the channels. ttt First, get your video file. Programs you may need: (option A) Make your own. Video Capture Software: The mainline Sims games let you record short videos by pressing V. Configure size in the settings. Windows key + G brings up Microsoft game bar and that overlay has a built in video recorder so you can get short footage from other games like MySims.
